Phyl's Lesson

Hello sexy lady! Phyl used pics of mobile phones in her set induction. The thing is her guessing game went awry because the phone names were written on the mobile phones. Some questions were not worded well: How do we use our cell phone that was considered as bad? What W.H.O. stands for? Need to check worksheets carefully before a lesson. Your friend said that your voice became softer as you finish your sentence. Must be confident and show it! You've prepared a nice lesson, be proud of it.

  1. Good points—Phil has chosen an informative and intriguing news video about the danger of overuse cell phones. The listening material is moderately difficult and suitable for students’ level. She designed five questions closely related to the content. Some vocabularies are very challenging and useful like emit, dissipating and allegedly.
Aspects to work on: For set induction, Phil can ask students about the way that they use cell phones to make a call, how long they usually make a call and how long they use cell phones every day. Students can make role-play, pretending they are holding a phone. Then go to while listening stage. During the second listening stage, it is necessary to pause, discuss and explain the answer to each question. As for the vocabulary session, it would be much better if she provides context of the new vocabulary so students learn faster and are able to make sentences at the spot.

  2. The topic was relevant for students nowadays. The video was a good video. I think it can be a helpful video for students to acquire their listening skill. She introduces some new vocabs which is good. She did try to assist he students by putting on her slideshow the meaning of all the new vocabs for the students to see. However, she needs to be more confident. Try to finish your sentences so the students know what they should do. All in all, it was a good attempt for first presentation.

  3. I had to leave for my next class by the time Phyll were supposed to teach!

Personally, Phyll is really pretty and would turn the classroom's attention with that but in my opinion the school may not allow you wear so casually like that. Maybe throw on a blazer would help?

    I didn't attend your lesson so I won't comment on that. :)
