Cherry's Lesson
Cherry looked very nice in her attire. She planned her lesson very well, Im impressed. You have improved a lot! She gave definitions and pics and made students guess the words. Nobody in class has done this. Wow. I can see a lot of preparation put into this lesson. Her song choice about facebook was wonderful. The activities could, however, be spreaded to 2 lessons. The last task where students are asked to create a slogan based on a pic could be structured so that students have a choice of either creating slogans about the positive or negative effects of the internet.

ReplyDeleteHi everyone, from Cherry's presentation i want to say well done because obviously she was well prepared and put a lot of effort for it because she prepared a power point for her lesson.
ReplyDeleteShe is creative, however there were too many activities and it makes us confuse because we thought it was a listening lesson but it turns out to be a speaking lesson. she didn't emphasize on the skill that she wants to teach.
in addition her vocabulary game was too easy which students only have to compete to pronounce it first. it should be more meaningful like make sure they pronounce it correctly.
the way of her communicate with her students was fine.
Nice dress! The first impression on her lesson is well prepared. She always being prepared as well.
ReplyDeleteI like her activities, but I have to say they are too many for 40 minutes teaching. Her creativity makes lesson interesting. She prepared how to answer the students' responds. I believe that there is an accident for the last activity. what I want to say is don't try to limit imagination of an open question.

I like this teacher very much. she looks very professional. I think she prepared very well. Her lesson also is very nice. She really had very hard work. We can saw it from any details. However, I was a little bit confuse about what she really want to tell us. The lesson missed some connection. There were two parts in her lesson. I hope she will work on that. Expect it, anythink was perfect. Anyway, well done thank you, I have learned a lot from you. :)

ReplyDeleteShe did well on set-induction and Pre-reading. The video clips were impressive and during the pre-reading she gave the meaning first and then let the students to guess the words. This is a very innovative approach.
Her voice and instruction are clear enough, but it could be better if she had more eye contact with each of the students

ReplyDeleteI still want to say that you looked so nice that day, even others has expressed. Moreover, we all can see that you prepared a lot for this lesson: the funny video, cards made for games and beautiful pictures. In addition, the instructions were clear enough and you could express clearly.
Here is my suggestion. You designed so many activities for one lesson. You should think of ‘time’. Another thing is that your activities made me confused which skills you focused, just as Siweinn said.
Overall, you did great and I felt so comfortable in your class. Well done, Cherry!

ReplyDeleteI just want the lesson to be fun so that I neglect the time of the lesson is limit. I am sure I will be more careful about
the activity arrangement. Also I will remember eye contact with the students nest time. For my post reading activity I kind
of limit students’ imagination, it should be two sides. I didn’t think of that when I create this activity. I will put
this on my mind that always thinking things with two sides, do not limit students’ imagination. Thanks again! I do learn a
lot from you guys’ posting. I will remember these and try to do better next time.
Cherry made adequate preparations for her lesson. She she managed to catch our attention through the activities. The video about Internet addiction was interesting. And the vocabulary cards were attractive and catchy. And also creat the advertising slogan was the way of brain-storming. It could be better if she can provide more ideas and suggestions for the students.

ReplyDeleteRead aloud vocab was a good activity. She gave the definition first then, asked students to guess the word. We can see that Cherry is creative through her slideshow, pictures and song that she used in the class.
Aspects to work on:
There are too many activities in 40 minutes lesson. She might needed to change it to 80 minutes lesson. Having a debate after a group discussion was good because students can relate what they had discussed earlier but listening activity after that was tiring for students. She could have another listening activity in the next lesson.
